The Morrisville campus is 30 miles southeast of Syracuse and 30 miles southwest of Utica; it is a half-hour drive from the New York State Thruway with easy access to Albany (two hours), Rochester (two hours), Buffalo (three hours) and New York City (four hours).
The Norwich Campus of SUNY Morrisville has been serving the Norwich community and the surrounding areas for more than 46 years, offering students associate degree options such as Criminal Justice, Computer Information Technology, and Nursing. The campus is also used by businesses, not-for-profits and community
partners for training, events and videoconferencing.

Job Description:
Morrisville State College invites qualified candidates to submit applications for the position of Associate Director for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP). CSTEP is a NYS Department of Education grant designed to increase the number of historically underrepresented (ethnically or socioeconomically)
students in majors that lead to STEM fields or licensed professions.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to create, deliver, and assess dynamic programming in relation to the academic, professional, and personal growth of the students we serve. Responsible for the project programming and development activities, student fellowship/internship and book award programs, Day of Service planning, and classroom instruction, applicants must possess solid organization and communication skills.
Technical skills are required to deliver CSTEP’s online programs, manage the participant database, and assist the Director with college and state reporting. Specifically, knowledge of Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Access, Excel, and TEAMS or comparable programs required.

The Associate Director will work with the Director to prepare annual reports to NYSED and the institution. Responsibilities also include and creation, development, and implementation of enrichment activities. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
*This position is considered a full-time, temporary (non-tenure), 12-month position and appointment will follow the grant cycle.*

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s preferred in a field related to education

Human services

STEM field
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience within an educational or social service setting required.

Considerations will be given to those with experience working with opportunity programs and/or underrepresented populations.
