Restore NYC Seeks Cooperative Developer (P/T)

JOB SUMMARY

In 2016, Restore successfully incubated a worker cooperative for the purpose of connecting clients to safe and sustainable job opportunities. The cooperative has since grown to 41 worker-owners from over 20 different countries and has facilitated over $150,000 in work contracts, all to support the economic independence of its members. To capitalize on this growth, the Cooperative Developer will continue to improve and strengthen the cooperative utilizing her/his knowledge of cooperative governance structures, committee organization, and worker/immigrant rights as well as managing the day-to-day tasks of running the cooperative.

The Cooperative Developer must have the ability to work well in multilingual and diverse environments, including facilitating multilingual member meetings. S/he will have superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, experience in project management, and an entrepreneurial and visionary spirit. The Cooperative Developer will report to the Manager of Job Development, who will manage relations with business partners as well as the larger job development strategy. The Cooperative Developer will also be involved in hiring, training, and developing the Job Development Intern to provide administrative and logistical support for the cooperative.
