Local 372-DC37 Seeks Webmaster and Social Media Intern (NYC)

Local 372-DC37 seeks an intern to work under the guidance of our Director of Information Technology to help maintain and re-vamp website.  Candidate should have, at minimum, a working knowledge of HTML and CSS and some familiarity with PHP, Javascript, mySQL.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Webmaster Intern will work directly with the Director of Information Technology. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and updating the website
  • Proposing, developing, and installing new features
  • Monitoring web server and site technical performance
  • Maintaining and updating social networks

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills handcoding HTML
  • Knowledge of Photoshop’s web graphics tools
  • Some college coursework or comparable professional experience
  • Image scanning experience
  • Interest in web surfing and online socializing
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
