Fast paced office of New York City Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer is seeking an ambitious and hardworking candidate to work as Special Projects Coordinator and Constituent Liaison. Strong writing skills and a positive, team oriented demeanor are musts.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with NYC agencies, local politics and participatory budgeting.

Duties include:
– Being primary contact and liaison for participatory budgeting
– Interacting with community residents
– Developing relationships with local civic organizations
– Working with different city agencies
– Writing clear and concise letters defining issues
– Attending community events on nights and weekends while representing an elected official

Requirements:
– College degree or significant customer service experience
– Experience working or interning in a political office preferred
– Volunteer or professional campaign work preferred
