Sueños Deportados (Dreams Deported) – Book Presentation & Talk

October 24, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Throughout the past decade, young people have emerged from the shadows to put a voice to their lived experiences and build power across this nation and beyond. Immigrant youth and families are at the front lines of the immigrant rights movement to fight against mass incarceration and deportation, separation of families, criminalization of communities, and all injustice in our society.

LatinoJustice PRLDEF and the UCLA Labor Center
invite you to a special book presentation and talk. Join us as we also present the Spanish version of Dreams Deported.

SPEAKERS:

  • Hareth Andrade, Dream Summer Alumni, story featured in Dreams Deported
  • Christiaan Perez, Manager of Advocacy and Digital Strategy, LatinoJustice
  • Kent Wong, Director, UCLA Labor Center
  • Diego Sepulveda, Project Director, UCLA Labor Center
