How We Keep Going: Self-Care & Work-Life-School Sustainability

November 21, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

RSVP HERE

– Are you an activist, organizer, care worker or community member who tends to do social justice work all day, every day, but is also exhausted all the time (and potentially unhealthy)?

– Do you work helping people within a bureaucracy or organization that doesn’t give a lot of thought to your longevity or health?

– Are you struggling to balance the demands of work, of the movement, of family, and of school?

All of us wear many hats – students, workers, family members, change makers.  How do we sustain ourselves and our work for the long haul?  Come join fellow students, experts, and long-time practitioners to discuss some strategies for caring for yourself – so you can continue to care for others.

  Topics include:

– Diet and Nutrition

– Lasting in the Labor Movement

– Health Challenges facing Teenagers

– Self-Massage Techniques

– Mental Health for Activists

– Planning your time
