Free Screening of Dog Days with Street Vendor Project

June 22, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join the Street Vendor Project forĀ Dog Days, the 2014 documentary about mobile food vendors in Washington DC. The film, by Laura Waters Hinson and Kasey Kirby, follows Siyone, an Eritrean refugee and single mother of four, who sells hot dogs on the streets of our nation’s capital.

The film asks important questions about the gentrification of street food, and whether traditional immigrant vendors like Siyone can stand to benefit from the rise of “foodie” culture – or whether they will get left behind.
