Movement for Justice in El Barrio is a majority-women, membership-led community organization fighting for dignity and against displacement in East Harlem, NYC. Movement integrates community organizing, leadership development, and political education while operating on community self-determination, participatory democracy and collective decision-making.
This workshop focuses on base-building and outreach to different sectors of your community to build your organization and the movement for social justice. Attendees develop a tool box of effective methods and messages to reach people in their communities and build the base of their organizations.
