PROGRAM FEATURES
•Supervision by a faculty mentor, postdoctoral, or advance graduate student
•Weekly workshops that are directly related to the academic, personal, and professional growth of scholars
•Preparation on delivery of a research paper and an oral presentation
•Opportunity to possibly co-author a scientific paper with the faculty mentor
•Exposure to state of the art research
PROGRAM DURATION
•Eight weeks, June 6th- July 30th, 2021ELIGIBILITY
•Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident •Must be a rising sophomore or junior as of July 2021
•Must have a 2.7 GPA or higher
•Should have a genuine interest in research and learning, leading towards a Ph.D.
•We follow NSF criteria student must belong to one of the following groups: an African American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, Hawaiian Native, Native Pacific Islander (Polynesian or Micronesian), or be economically disadvantaged.
PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE
•Stipend
•Room and board if residential
•Access to University at Albany facilities if residential
•Certificate of completion
