STARR SERVICES FOR SENIORS AND RECENT GRADUATES INITIATIVE
JOB DEVELOPER POSITION DUTIES:
The Job Developer is primarily responsible for identifying and building relationships with new employer leads; specifically cultivating relationships with organizations that historically have had little or no interaction with the career center and/or experience with hiring our students and graduates. The Job Developer is responsible for identifying and engaging with emerging business sectors to foster ongoing recruitment relationships and connect these entities with the appropriate resources and personnel at the career center and the college. The primary target of the job developer is to identify leads for seniors and recent graduates.
The Job Developer reviews and researches businesses to ensure employers are credible and remain in compliance with Federal and NACE policies. Additionally, the Job Developer may provide administrative support during Job Search Boot Camps, Career Fairs, information sessions and other employer/alumni events. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Field questions from new employer contacts
- Help review and process new employer accounts
- Collaborate with Starr Services for Seniors and Recent Graduates Initiative team to communicate opportunities to staff and students
- Follow up with new contacts who require additional guidance and support
- Support the employer relations team by promptly responding to general employer inquires
- Assist with employer events such as virtual information sessions, industry panels, On-Campus Recruiting
- Respond to general student inquires: Why can’t I apply for this position? I have an interview coming up, how can I enhance my candidacy, etc.
- Help input hiring outcomes/update student records with data collected from employers
The Job Developer works with Employer Relations Team and Starr Services for Seniors and Recent Graduates Initiative Team.
This is a grant funded, temporary position without benefits with an hourly rate of $15.61. The schedule is 40 hours per week with a one hour unpaid lunch daily.
