The Consortium for Worker Education (CWE) Seeks Part-Time Organizers

The Consortium for Worker Education (CWE) is hiring a team of Part-Time Organizers to support full participation of New York City residents in the 2020 Census. CWE is an active partner of NYC CLC’s Labor Counts! Census 2020 Complete Count Committee.

The main objective of the Organizer position is to build census awareness in local communities, with a focus on New York City workers who reside in hard-to-count neighborhoods. Organizers will develop a depth of knowledge about the importance of the 2020 Census, engage in house visits, phone banking, other outreach activities and administrative support for approximately five months.

We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills and who have at least one year of experience in community advocacy and education. Fluency in a language other than English is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with basic data entry and technology tools. Work schedule will vary and may include nights and weekends, with a maximum of 20 hours a week. If you are interested in applying, please email your resume to dcorniel@cwe.org. Union members and households are strongly encouraged to apply!
