Democracy at Work Seeks Part-Time Fundraising Manager

Democracy at Work seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Democracy at Work’s fundraising manager to plan, coordinate and execute existing and future fundraising efforts. The contractor will work closely with Democracy at Work’s existing staff to:

● Manage and plan fundraising campaigns attracting donors via the main website;

● Manage and plan fundraising campaigns for existing subscription donors via Patreon pages for our current and future shows and podcasts;

● Analyze fundraising metrics to evaluate the success of digital content for internal development;

● Research and pursue external sources for large-level donations, including large-donors, one-time and rolling grants, etc.;

● Develop and maintain relationships with existing large-level donors;

● Work alongside the Public Engagement Manager as necessary for promoting fundraising campaigns via social media;

● Communicate regularly with d@w staff and relevant sponsors or third parties as necessary to upcoming projects;

● Conceive and pursue innovative ways to improve upon d@w fundraising and support Democracy at Work staff on additional assignments as needed.

Desired qualifications: A demonstrated commitment to the mission and vision of Democracy at Work and familiarity with fundraising planning and execution. Preferred: A background with non-profit, grassroots organizations and/or experience with customer service.

Hours: 20 hours/week, predetermined – but flexible – schedule with an attendance at Democracy at Work Core Team (staff) meetings. There is a probationary period of 3-months, with opportunity to join the team permanently based on performance. Frequent communication with the Managing Director, and as-needed communication with other Democracy at Work staff and contractors as needed.

Proposed Payment: This is a part-time W-2 position compensated at $2,000/month.
