Oakland Peace Center Seeks Operations Manager (Oakland, CA)

The Oakland Peace Center is a community of artists, activists, cultural workers, educators, and non-profits collaborating to bring about a city of hope, justice, nonviolence, and compassion. We are united in our shared vision of equity, access, and dignity (for all people, creatures and creation) as the means of creating peace.

In addition to being a collective of over forty organizations, the Oakland Peace Center is a physical space located near Oakland’s Auto Row (aka Broadway Valdez Plaza). We are a very small staff with a very big mission:

Create affordable space for peacemaking organizations at risk of displacement in Oakland and to preserve a cultural space for communities at risk of displacement:

  • Connect our partners with each other to reduce burnout and increase effectiveness at addressing the root causes of violence and to amplify their work to the community so that peace becomes inevitable in Oakland and throughout the Bay.

The Operations Manager will support the business plan, working with staff and nonprofit developer to coordinate building renovations (including collaboration with and supervision of facilities coordinator).
