The Business Lending unit of the Credit Union is seeking a part-time business outreach consultant to enhance the number and quality of qualified applicants for business credit through referrals and direct submissions to any of its four branches.

Objectives:

Generate more qualified requests for financial assistance from potential member operating businesses in the four primary branch areas.

Generate more qualified requests for financial assistance from potential member operating businesses in the five boroughs of New York City.

Activities:

The activities will consist of targeted outreach and creation of a referral network.

• Plan and implement a campaign to reach out to traditional lending institutions in the primary target area, to persuade them to use the Credit Union as a referral source for candidates outside of the institutions’ lending parameters.
• Plan and implement a similar campaign to traditional lending institutions in the secondary target areas – broader NYC market, for low-moderate income borrowers.
• Plan and Implement a campaign to reach out directly to area businesses in the primary target areas, to persuade them to submit applications for business credit and for membership in the Credit Union.
• Support other business outreach efforts being planned or implemented by the Credit Union.

This position requires 15-20 hours a week.
