The Coordinator, Technology Projects will report directly to and support the Chief Technology Officer in every facet of his role to help keep the Downtown Alliance and Lower Manhattan technologically forward thinking. Responsibilities include both internal facing, providing and ensuring a high level and high quality of technology service for our employees, and external facing, assisting in working with partners from property owners, start-ups, government agencies, companies and universities.
- Multimedia/Content Management: This role will be vital to ensuring our content is easily indexed and searchable by adding metadata and organization and uploading document, photos and videos.
- Internal IT Support: Support IT initiatives including basic tech troubleshooting of printers, phones, audio/visual and project assistance on all internal technology projects such as upgrading Office 2016, upgrading servers, replacing all employee computers, etc.
- Wi-Fi: This role will assist in Wi-Fi expansion efforts through a variety of tasks such as site visits, proposals, internet service, reviewing status of equipment, compiling usage reports, etc.
- Online Communications: Assist in website and mobile app projects. Track Google Analytics for website and app data. Track Google Adwords data and monitor success of keywords, ads, etc.
- Special Technology Projects: The Alliance is frequently conducting special technology projects from 3D mapping visualization of our data to experimenting with Wi-Fi in solar-powered trash cans to beacons and much more.
- Technology Education and Research: Promote the technology education of employees by assisting in training and regular emails/newsletters. Research new technologies, new applications, and new projects, etc.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and collegial instincts.
- Experience working with various technologies whether it is hardware/software/handhelds/tablets, etc.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
