Looking for progressive, politically minded student or recent graduate with an interest in journalism and political activism to work with an established author and political journalist who writes on social movements, nonviolent direct action, human rights, the global economy, the environment, and Latin American affairs. Excellent writing skills and strong commitment to social justice issues desired. Responsibilities will include conducting research for articles in national and international publications, helping to maintain a web site, and other tasks. Foreign language skills a plus. HTML and web programming skills a plus. 6-10 hours a week. Pays $13-$15/hour, based on experience. Work will take place in West Philadelphia.
