32BJ Training Fund Seeks LMS/Web Applications Developer

The 32BJ Training Fund is a joint labor-management partnership that offers training to members of the labor union 32BJ SEIU at no cost. The fund is supported by contributions negotiated between 32BJ SEIU and participating employers. Our mission is to train every participant to grow to the next level. Under the supervision of the the Technology Manager, the LMS/Web Applications Developer conducts the design, implementation and administration of core Training Fund Systems. This includes the Learning Management System (LMS), Student Registration System, Trianing Fund Website, and numerous back-office systems that the Training Fund relies on for day-to-day operations.

Primary Responsabilities:

  • Records & Registration: Handle the design, implementation, and operation of all Training Fund systems, highlighted by core systems that manage the registration and placement of all students. Act as the primary technical resource for a newly adopted Learning Management System. Interface existing DotNetNuke modules with backend Learning Management System via API or other tools. Act as liaison with IT to coordinate the bi-weekly HRIS feeds to the Learning Management System

  • Infrastructure & Business Processes: Design and implement systems, websites, business processes, communication protocols, staff trainings, etc. to increase organizational efficiency and member satisfaction.
  • Electronic & Automatic Communication: Implement and manage a variety of automated systems to inform our membership of training opportunities and active registrations.

Technical Skills:

  • Superior technical skills with a particular focus on general programming acumen
  • Experience with C#, ASP .NET, DotNetNuke a plus
  • Experience with Qlikview a plus
  • Experience designing and implementing Learning Management Systems a plus

Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • 1-3 years related experience
  • A desire to work in the EdTech/Non-Profit space
