Job Description:

The role of the CSTEP Office Coordinator is to support and assist the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) Director with meeting the goals and operations of program. The Coordinator will work closely with the CSTEP Director to meet the needs of program students, assesses and provides office and programmatic services as needed; this Includes assisting In the Implementation of programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic and Initial assistance to students with questions and refer them to suitable staff.
  • Manage student workers and related work matters.
  • Support the work of CSTEP and maintain an inventory of office supplies,
  • Support the administrative functions of department and schedule the use of classrooms, and facilities
  • Assist with the collection of information and other required materials during students’
  • recruitment, and collect CSTEP students’ research application materials
  • Assist with recruitment including but not limited to: orientations, campus events, and off campus events
  • Provide assessment-data to program Director as needed
  • Help organize and conduct departmental meetings and events by securing space, equipment, food,
  • preparing invitations, announcements, agendas, brochures, and assist with events as they occur,
  • Assist staff by answering phones/questions, and locate desired information/materials; and make travel arrangements
  • Provide reception services and assist with scheduling CSTEP related appointments and meetings.
  • Provide basic and initial assistance to students with questions and refer them to suitable staff.
  • Communicate with staff for the purpose of ordering office supplies and plan meetings with services vendors
  • Oversee and manage CSTEP properties, Including the distribution of CSTEP items from the lending library
  • Complete requisitions and purchase order for services and maintain inventory, manage invoices and handle correspondence with vendors.

Other work as directed by the CSTEP Director.
