CONSTITUENT LIAISON, MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS (New York, NY) –

Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks a personable, dependable, and professional Constituent Liaison to address and resolve inquiries from diverse constituents regarding military and veterans affairs casework and issues involving other federal agencies. Position includes working with Congressional Liaisons at federal agencies to resolve a high volume of cases across New York State. The liaison will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date case file records, participating in community events, conducting research on issues impacting New York, and training and managing interns. Preferred candidate has experience working with veterans and/or experience working in direct services, and has past or current residency in New York State. Applicants must be: self-motivated team players; able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality; detail-oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
