In a new phase of the effort, the Center will work to localize the NSTAT process by assisting each of 15 designated communities to convene local stakeholder groups to discuss, identify, and prioritize community initiatives, access and analyze data, identify and leverage resources, monitor community conditions, and implement action plans that address local concerns and enhance public safety and well-being.
The Program Associate will report to the Director of Capacity Building and receive task management and support from the Associate Director of Operations and Planning. This role will support the implementation of action plans across 15 sites in 5 boroughs, which includes built environment projects, public space programming and social programs.
About the Position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support for NSTAT staff with all operations related to action plans, including site audits, and event and program support;
- Coordinate calendars for all program activities and events;
- Assist with processing supply and catering requests for program activities and events;
- Assist with managing and selecting vendors for supplies, event production, staff and participant retreats and programming;
- Assist in the maintenance and coordination of program materials, place-making toolkit and materials; and inventory;
- Assist with coordinating all youth council events and meetings;
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum two years of college credits with 2 years of administrative experience; or a high school diploma with 4 years of administrative experience. Candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication skills required. Must show demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft programs. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Driver’s License preferred but not required.
Position Type: Full-time (occasional weekends, evenings and holidays)
