Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, Inc. Seeks Community Outreach Analyst (NYC)

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (“RLC”) strives to become the world’s most widely used solution for companies and individuals to eliminate food waste in their communities, making food rescue sustainable and universal, and food hunger a thing of the past.

RLC is a non-profit food rescue organization based in New York City that delivers leftover food from restaurants and caterers to local agencies such as homeless shelters and soup kitchens in an effort to reduce and eliminate food waste. We have thus far delivered over 350,000 pounds of food with the lowest cost per delivery in the industry. Our business model is centered around four stages: (1) proactively seek out businesses with leftover food and encourage them to donate, (2) deliver excess, wholesome food and bring it directly to homeless shelters and soup kitchens, (3) use our expertise in the food rescue industry to consult each partner different ways to manage inventory / ordering system to reduce food waste, (4) partners successfully graduate from the RLC food rescue program which reduces food waste and saves costs.

RLC is currently accepting applications for the full-time role of Community Outreach Analyst. RLC is seeking talented, entrepreneurial, and passionate young leaders with the emotional intelligence and organizational skills needed to work in a self-driven and quality- driven work environment.

Position Summary:

The Community Outreach Analyst will form and develop new partnerships with potential volunteers and charitable organizations in New York City. This full-time role would be responsible for ensuring that all volunteer events are fully signed up.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and engage volunteers
• Contact volunteer groups and organizations to establish partnerships
• Maintain community partnership details in database
• Set up training events and speakers series
• Gather detailed information regarding charitable organizations
• Assist in organization of special events with community members
